AACN Chapter at Keck Medical Center Values
The AACN Chapter at Keck Medical Center strives to advance the science and art of progressive and critical care nursing for the welfare of those experiencing critical illness. We aim to accomplish this by:
- Promoting the education of progressive and critical care nurses in accordance with standards of evidence-based practice
- Promoting professionalism and the accountability in nursing
- Encouraging scientific investigation
- Providing opportunities for networking and professional development

This scholarship award recognizes nurses from the AACN Chapter at Keck Medical Center who uphold the mission, vision, and values of AACN to be accountable, advocate, act with integrity, collaborate, provide leadership, demonstrate stewardship, embrace life-long learning, commit to quality and excellence, promote innovation, and generate commitment and passion.
The Essay
Inspired by your own personal and professional journey, briefly state your intent of wanting to attend the conference.
The Award
- Each recipient will receive a $500 reimbursement for expenses incurred while attending the National Teaching Institute.
- Winners will be reimbursed after the conference.
- Three (3) winners will be chosen.
Selection
The essays will be evaluated with writer’s names undisclosed by the Keck AACN Board except the president, who will receive the entries and remove all identifying information. The Board will rank all entries.
Eligibility
- Be an active, standing member for at least 6 months in both the AACN local chapter and AACN national organization
- Complete an essay that (Does not exceed 1000 words)
- Is received no later than Friday March 18, 2022
- Has not been a receipient of the scholarship in the last two years.
